Monument in square at Dunkeld. This entire area including the Cathedral is a listed Historical site including cottages that line road to Cathedral. It is from these cottages that the small number of Cameronians held off the troops of the deposed King James. The Highlanders set the cottages on fire killing many but the small force eventually routed them and stopped their move South to Edinburgh. |
